Drake Van de Castle Envirian of Charlottesville’s Principal Broker/Owner Drake Van de Castle, ABR, e-Pro, is known in the local real estate community as being a dynamic REALTOR® who provides his clients with exceptional personalized service and is highly respected by fellow REALTORS® and industry professionals alike. Van de Castle draws on his ten years of record-setting sales and his myriad leadership experiences. Prior to forming Envirian of Charlottesville, Van de Castle was an agent with Montague Miller and Company REALTORS®, which he joined when entering the business in 2000, and then with Real Estate III, and most recently with Assist-2-Sell. In and beyond the Charlottesville community, Van de Castle is widely recognized and highly involved in the REALTOR® community. He serves in numerous leadership positions constantly striving to improve the real estate industry and the REALTOR® business. At the local level, he has held many volunteer positions with CAAR. In 2000, he was named “Rookie of the Year” by CAAR, and in 2001, he was the recipient of the CAAR President’s Award for exemplary service to the REALTOR® and Charlottesville community. In addition, he was one of the first receipents of the CAAR Community Partner Award in 2003. At the State level, Van de Castle, served on the Virginia Association of REALTORS® (VAR) Professional Development Advocacy Group and Agency Services Workgroup. A graduate of first VAR’s Leadership Academy, he is past Chair of VAR’s Information Management Advocacy Group and a member of the Strategic Plan and Agency Services Work Groups. For the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), Van de Castle shares his expertise as a member of its Education Committee and he has been a member of the Business Issues Committee and Communications Committee. Van de Castle, a good corporate citizen, is involved in such charities and organizations as the Charlottesville Company of Friends, a local business networking group which he co-founded, the Virginia Piedmont Technology Council, the European Soccer Camp, a summer camp for children, which he organized and brought to Charlottesville, the Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA), Computers 4 Kids, the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, Albemarle Family, Greater Charlottesville’s Habitat for Humanity, CAAR’s Workforce Housing Fund, and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Van de Castle, who played soccer for Roanoke College and coached men’s soccer at Missouri State University, where he also graduated with a BS in 1994, is a long-time resident of Albemarle County and lives here with his wife Teresa and son Bryce, who loves nothing more than to play soccer with his dad. |
